Since 2011, the Jadlovec Folk Group, in cooperation with the Municipality of Margecany, has been organising the Margecianske Fajnoty festival. The event is dedicated to preserving traditional recipes and showcasing regional cuisine, international gastronomy and culinary specialities. Visitors can taste around 100 traditional dishes and culinary specialities from Spiš, Šariš, Gemer and Abov, as well as from other regions of Slovakia and from the home regions of our international guests.

Our aim is to preserve and bring back the almost forgotten specialities of our ancestors, share traditional recipes and demonstrate how the dishes are prepared. Invited groups and international ensembles prepare their dishes right in front of visitors and offer them for sale. The stages welcome not only international ensembles, but especially children’s ensembles from the Spiš region and folk groups from across Slovakia. In cooperation with the Tatra, Košice and Prešov associations of chefs and pastry chefs, culinary specialities are also prepared and presented directly on stage with the participation of visitors.
